From a Whore House to Tea Rooms

Part 15th and part 16th century, through the years The Swan has been a butcher’s shop, a post office, and tea rooms, a place of rest, a whore house and a public house. It was even has a Priest Hole in Oliver Cromwell’s time.

A Royal Link

There is a substantiated rumour that George III regularly used The Swan whilst deer hunting. At that time, 1780, Arborfield was still on the fringes of Windsor Forest.

A Snooker Link

The Function Room, where the bands play was once used as a practice room for Steve Davis.
(although it is not known if Steve ever sang)

Get the drinks in Steve .......
